I’ve become one of those people who rarely buys a magazine without a freebie… partly because we’ve been pretty spoilt for choice with such a wide variety of high quality gifts over the past year. If you’ve been scouring the shelves like I do, you’ll have noticed they have been few and far between the past few months, so I’m excited to let you know about a few good ones with March 2012 issues out now!
Elle The only one I’ve managed to get my paws on so far is the March 2012 UK edition of Elle with an almost unrecognisable Alexa Chung looking downright stunning on the front cover… doesn’t she look elegant and ladylike? I’m loving her hair. Anyhoo, the freebie…
Thick & Fast Mascara from the recently launched Soap & Glory makeup range at Boots RRP £10
I’ve been using this mascara all week and like it a lot! It’s not mega volumising (though admittedly I haven’t attempted a zillion coats) but does give a really nice full-but-natural look with a glossy finish, leaves the lashes feeling lovely and soft, doesn’t flake and is easy to remove (that’s a lot of my boxes ticked!). Definitely behaves like its more expensive sisters and has left me keen to try other products from the range.
Red Rumour has it that some issues of Red Magazine (Liberty Ross on the cover) include a free Leighton Denny nail polish. Apparently supplies are limited and it’s only on copies on sale in Marks and Spencer or WH Smith at railway stations with a choice of three colours: Vamp (rouge noir), Whatever (creamy mauve) or Crushed Grape (dark dusky grape/aubergine).
Vamp Whatever Crushed Grape
Oddly, other editions have included a free Balance Me shower gel worth £8.00. And yet others, nothing. Most odd!
Leighton Denny nail polish RRP £11, Balance Me shower gel RRP £8.00
Get in quick & let me know if you find one - I’ll be scouring shelves tomorrow!
Easy Living March 2012 with Marcia Cross on the cover contains a voucher for a travel sized L’Occitane Vanilla Flower hand cream worth £7.50. I have to say of all the hand creams I’ve been using this winter, L’Occitane is the one I find the most nourishing and intensely moisturising, so I’d really recommend this one.
L’Occitane hand cream, travel size RRP £7.50
February’s Glamour magazine had a voucher for a free L’Occitane lip treat worth £8, either a lip balm or a Delice de Fleurs lipgloss, which I have and it’s absolutely gorgeous! If you’re lucky you might still find a February copy hiding in the corner of a quiet newsagent…
Any of these appeal to you or have you seen any magazine deals that I’ve missed?
