I made a beeline for YSL’s recently launched nail polish range, La Laque Couture in House of Fraser this week after lusting over these beautiful images. I think the colours, design and packaging are about as glamorous as nail polish can get.

I was as excited as a small child/ beauty blogger to find these cute little cellophane colour ‘swatch-its’ on the YSL stand… genius idea allowing you to try several shades (especially useful if your nails are already painted!) and note the shade number for reference, like a beauty post-it note! I only had approximately one minute to spare, but managed to swatch two colours that jumped out at me to share with you & keep them safe all the way home in the car…
No 28, Bronze Aztec - a deep dark bitter chocolate with bronze shimmer that catches the light beautifully.
No 14, Violine Surrealiste - a bright glossy violet, which I think would look incredible with 2-3 coats… sadly I didn’t have time to do that so just applied it as generously as possible!
Sorry about the glare in this pic but I just loved how the flash showed the gorgeous shimmer in Bronze Aztec.
I think this shade looks like the.perfect.gold, No 29, Dore Orfevre. I don’t suit orange or yellow based golds and this looks like so cool toned & goldenlicious!
YSL La Laque Couture nail polish costs £18 each and you can see the full range of 30 colours at yslbeauty.co.uk
