I’ve been wearing pretty metallics in gold, silver & bronze from Marks & Spencer’s Limited Collection this week.
Gold
This fast drying polish is a flattering pale gold and will look great with a tan… gorgeously sparkly in direct sunlight.
Limited Collection Polish in Gold £3.50
Silver
I’m not usually a silver eyeshadow kind of girl as I’m always more drawn toward gold tones, but was impressed with how much I liked this on. I wore it with a dark grey Maybelline 24h colour tattoo in the socket. Light and heavy swatches above. It’s highly pigmented and the texture is lovey and soft - it feels half way between a cream and a powder to me.
Limited Collection Shadow in Silver-Satin £4.00
Bronze
My favourite of the trio, the bronzer comes in a chunky transparent perspex compact, showing off the pretty design. Personally I’d prefer the lighter shade in the middle, but it is possible to use them separately or blend the two together.
Swatches left to right: mix of both shades; darker shade, lightest shade. As you can see there was a lot of fall out from the compact, but I think that’s partly down to the brush. One with more ‘give’ in the bristles will lift less product - still, something to bear in mind. The finish is almost matte, just a subtle sheen and I think this shade would work well on medium to dark skintones.
Limited Collection Bronzer £5.00
Nude
I’ve been using this nude gloss in ‘Mulberry’ with the metallics and it’s actually my favourite of the Limited Collection products. A barely there, slightly darker than my natural lip colour nude it’s just really pretty when you want your lips to look finished without being overdone or distracting from the rest of your makeup - lovely for daytime.
Limited Collection Lipgloss in Mulberry £5.00
