I love skincare for the body almost as much as for the face… here are the products I’ve been loving lately, from Argan+, Deep Steep, Jergens & Sprout…
Argan 5+ Softening Body Polish
This new bodycare range contains nourishing and restorative oils, featuring Moroccan Argan Oil along with Baobab, Kukui, Moringa and Sacha Inci oils. The Softening Body Polish is an absolute joy to use and is competing with Neom (around 3 times the price) for my favourite to date.
The texture is smooth, rich and creamy and the grains finely textured but effective. It’s quite firm (in that it’s not runny) in the pot and while I was aware that it contained oils, it felt moisturising without leaving an oily residue on my skin. I definitely didn’t need a body moisturiser immediately after using it. Even my husband noticed how smooth my skin was after using this (& no I didn’t ask!) ;). I felt incredibly pampered, like I’d had a mini spa right there in my bathroom. I will 100% be trying more of this range - Jane reviewed the Ultra Rich Body Butter at BritishBeautyBlogger, which is next on my list!
Argan 5+ Softening Body Polish: £5.99 until Sep 5 when it will be £8.99 at Boots
Deep Steep
Another brilliantly priced body care range, Deep Steep is a cruelty and chemical free range of luxury natural skincare. Products include body wash, body lotion, bubble bath and body mist… so far I have tried Body Butter in Tangerine & Melon and the new Dry Oil Body Spritzer in Grapefruit & Bergamot. The Body Butter is beautifully rich, containing Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and vitamins… it takes a little while to soak in and the Tangerine & Melon scent is very sweet, moreso than I expected.
Grapefruit & Bergamot Dry Oil Body Spritzer is the big winner for me… I can’t always be bothered to apply a full body lotion and this is great to spray on in two secs when in a hurry, plus the gorgeously zesty fragrance is exactly what I need to wake me up a bit in the mornings!
Deep Steep Body Butter is £7.99 and Dry Oil Body Spritzer is £12.95 here.
Jergens
I hadn’t tried Jergens until recently… the products have been repackaged, but it’s all new to me - the contents were of more interest! The Body Cream is rich, intensely nourishing and gently fragranced - I love to use this after a bath in the evening - it’s a little lighter than other butters I’ve tried, but still very moisturising.
The lower swatch is the densely textured Body Cream and top is the lighter Cocoa Butter Body body lotion, which absorbs quickly, is lightly fragranced (Palmers this is not) and is a joy to use - a morning favourite that leaves my skin gleaming.
Currently on offer at Boots, the Body Lotion is available in a variety of fragrances for just £3.40 HERE
Sprout
Sprout is a 100% natural, certified organic US skincare brand, new to the UK thanks to eco beauty retailer, CutECOsmetics. The Shea Butter with coconut and olive oil is super rich, set solid in the jar and a little goes a loooong way. Naturally fragranced, the product is unperfumed. I’ve used it on dry patches such as ankles, shins and elbows, though it is suitable for all over use if your skin is feeling super parched. The Cleanser & Exfoliator sound lovely too.
Sprout Shea Butter Cream costs £20 at CutECOsmetics
