Aveda is running a number of Earth Month campaigns to raise funds for clean water projects in struggling countries – I’m super impressed at how hands on its staff have been, reflecting their belief in this great cause... if you’d like to donate, all you have to do is treat yourself to a gorgeous new candle or a hair cut! The best bit is that ALL profits and proceeds will be donated, a refreshing change from the usual percentage.

I’ve been burning mine for a couple of days now and it’s a beautiful soft, warming fragrance that I find quite comforting… the gentle vanilla scent reminds me a bit of baking!
Donating 100% of the retail price less VAT (£13.33) to Global Greengrants Fund (GGF), a non-profit organisation that channels high-impact grants to grassroots groups working to solve pressing environmental problems. Aveda and Global Greengrants Fund have worked together for more than six years, focusing on funding clean-water projects.
Aveda Earth Month 24 Hour Global Cut-A-Thon: 22 April 2013
Aveda hair stylists across the globe will donate their time and attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the ‘most money raised for a charity by haircuts in a 24-hour period’ on 22 April, with ALL proceeds going towards the clean water projects. The Aveda Institute High Holborn and participating salons nationwide will be in full support from 11am – 7pm on April 22 2013. Ask your local salon if it’s participating!
