I purchased Essie Cascade Cool on a bit of a whim, not quite sure how it would look when it arrived – and it’s turned out to be one of my favourite polishes ever. A lavender toned pink; it’s neither pink nor lilac, but hovers somewhere in between. It’s a difficult one to capture on camera and is more definite, less wishy washy, in real life.
As with all Essie formulas, this applies beautifully – it’s a crème with a smidge of iridescence and would look lovely against tanned or darker skins.
Wear time is good too – I generally get an extra couple of days from Essie polishes, partly why they’re one of my favourite formulas.
I bought Cascade Cool from Fragrance Direct, which switches up its shade regularly. If you’d prefer to see it in person, you can also pick up Essie at Boots and Superdrug.
