Despite a penchant for luxury beauty, I’ve got to confess my complete inability to resist a bargain. My new favourite thing is to find special offers on luxury items: win win! I’ve picked up a few beauty bargains recently and will do a separate post on my haul(s) in the next few days, but in the meantime, thought it only fair to flag up some of the great offers around so that you can get a little piece of the action too!
The main trigger for this post was the news that one of my favourite beauty retailers, Escentual.com has 20% off the entire site for the next couple of weeks! I’ve already indulged there (more to come on that) but will be back for more. I’m currently debating between these two beauties…
Dior Airflash Spray Foundation (reduced to £26.40 here) hasn’t had a whole lot of press and I’m not sure why… best kept secret? I had it applied in-store and couldn’t believe how skin perfecting it was (not to mention fun to use!). I’d love this for evenings out or days when my skin just won’t play ball. At the other end of the spectrum, Diorskin Nude BB Crème (reduced to £24 here) gives a beautiful, light to moderate, dewy coverage and is the perfect daytime base (I’ve been using a little sample vial of this one). Listen to me try to convince myself that I need both! Not an option… so any verdicts or experiences much appreciated!
Of course I will also need to stock up on my favourite micellar water by Bioderma ( down to £11.60 here) and may succumb to a product I’ve resisted splurging on for ages but want so badly, L’Occitane Almond Foaming Shower Oil (not quite a bargain but cheaper than usual at £14 here).
The 20% discount runs across make-up, fragrance & skincare until 26 July 2013 at Escentual
Anyone who knows me will tell you that the last thing I need is more perfume; I have developed a genuine weakness bordering on addiction but these beauties are HALF PRICE and it’s torturing me! I’ve only wanted a Diptyque fragrance, like, forever and Vetyverio sounds like the perfect fresh, citrusy, woody scent for Summer. Plus it’s down from £68 to £27 here (less than half price… if I don’t purchase before publishing this post it will be an actual miracle).
Laura Mercier fragrances are among my all time favourites and this Petite Patisserie Gourmande set includes 3x15ml for just £25 here - the perfect way to give them a go. I already have Fresh Fig (swoony!) and the other two are Vanille and Almond Coconut Milk (double swoon!).
Ok I’m almost done as I can’t take the torture much longer - last stop, the place of beauty gems….
I’ve wanted to try Becca eye shadows for ages as the buttery, well pigmented formula sounds like perfection and this Night Star Quad is unlike anything else in my collection. Down from £35 to £21 here.
A practical purchase…. I like the sound of this anti-bacterial sharpener which sanitises pencils as it sharpens, reducing the chance of eye infections. Plus I need a fat sharpener for my eye and lip crayons! £7.50 here.
I can never leave this site without picking up a back up of my most repurchased beauty product, Anastasia Brow Wiz - not in the sale but as Cult Beauty is the only UK stockist, it’d be rude not to! £15.50 here. I use Ash Blonde, which has zero red or orange tones, just a lovely cool beige that’s perfect for blondes, even strawberry ones.
Think I may need to lie down after that!
Pics of my beauty haul coming soon - have you spotted any great bargains that I’ve missed?!
