Models Own has added four new Artstix dual nail polishes to its line up for AW13 - and while previous shades included existing shades, this time the colours are completely unique. Each dual polish in the Elements Collection includes a base coat and glitter top coat - Blue Spray and Terra Crystal are my favourites…
Blue Spray is a metallic sky blue with a full on bling top coat in the glitteriest glitter I’ve seen! It’s a mix of fine glitter, shards and huge diamond shape chunks, which combine to make my nails look like they’ve literally been dipped in diamonds!
Terra Crystal is a dark chocolate brown with a slight aubergine undertone, teamed with pretty pink glitter. The glitter is finer than that of Blue Spray, but still substantial - a mix of fine silver based rainbow tones with bigger pink hexagonal chunks.

Terra Crystal is my favourite of the two. I love the rich toned base, applied here with an accent nail on my ring finger and graduated glitter tips on my pinkie. I only used one layer on my ringer finger to give you an idea of how densely packed this is - and how little you need. Always a bonus! To my eyes, this is a grown up, sophisticate glitter mani!
For the Blue Spray swatches I went completely OTT and layered up the glitter top coat to illustrate just how bling it really is! I actually love the base coat on its own and would definitely restrict the glitter to an accent nail. I think this shade is perfect for Summer, whereas Pink Crystal is more of an Autumn/Winter or evening polish.
