Good ol’ M&S has taken some bold strides into the 21st Century recently, not least in its latest ad campaign featuring a dozen women at the top of their fields, from Darcey Bussell to Dame Helen Mirren… I love the behind the scenes out-take above right. Is this campaign really a radical step, or an acknowledgement that M&S isn’t just about keeping up with the High St Joneses, but exists primarily for the real, diverse - and dare I say it - more mature woman, who aren’t ready to opt for frumptastic?! Back to beauty, here are a few new and upcoming releases that I have my eye on!
I love a pretty make-up bag and think these ones are adorable…
You can hover over each image to see the price or view the full range here. The last one, with a peacock design, is part of a Downton Abbey M&S exclusive collection launching in the Autumn, which includes the pretty candle and lip balm duo below.
The debut Downton Abbey Collection will be available exclusively from 12th October 2013, coinciding with the return of the fourth series this Autumn (I really must dig that box set out!).
Lest your pretty make-up bag should remain empty, new M&S beauty releases include these gorgeous Autograph Pure Colour blushers in Apricot and Berry here.
Not forgetting the huge range of brands now available in selected M&S beauty halls, Pur Minerals has a great offer starting next week (29 Aug) with 3 for 2 on its eye shadow trios, worth £20 each.
These rich, yet subtle Autumnal tones are my favourites, but there are loads more to choose from - including brights - here. The offer applies to the Pink Mix* shade (above left) if redeemed online, or you can choose any shade if you redeem the offer in stores from 29 Aug- 11 Sep.
*On the packaging Pink Mix is labelled ‘Little Miss Perfect’ as M&S use different shade names
Must admit I love being distracted by the new beauty counters en route to picking up a sandwich at M&S. Is there one near you? And what do you think of the new ad?
