Enhancing the appearance of my lashes is right up there on my beauty missions, probably just one step below the desire for perfect skin. Blessed with a sorry excuse for lashes, I’m forever on the hunt for products to make them look longer and more voluminous, so was thrilled to trial two new offerings from Sheer Cover: Lengthening Mascara and Lash Extending Fibers.
Here’s how the system works:
- Apply a layer of Lengthening Mascara and while it’s still wet…
- Dab on the white, feathery Lash Fibers, concentrating on tips, to add volume and length
- Finish with another coat of mascara, taking care not to knock off any of the fibers.
I guess you could keep repeating this process if you want serious mega volume! The fibers are applied the same way as mascara, with a little extra wiggling… the skinny wand makes this pretty easy.
I’ve used similar methods in the past and know that most are a whole lot of faff for very little effect. To be honest I expected the same from this system, but was pleasantly surprised, both with the results and at how easy it is to use. I first tried it while in a huge rush to get out the door (never recommended but a pretty much constant state for me!) and was genuinely WOWed by my own lashes. Nope, I’m not vain and don’t say this lightly - they usually make me want to weep, so please allow me my moment of happiness!
These were the results on that first application (clearly I barely had time to whip a wand over the lower lashes), but you get the idea - I’m really pleased with this product!
Already available in the US, Sheer Cover Lengthening Mascara and Lash Extending Fibers* will soon be available at sheercover.co.uk, where lots of products are currently on offer! I’m yet to be disappointed by this brand. You can see my demo of the mineral foundation here and I’ve been using the duo concealer most days for several months.
