Choosing make-up gifts is particularly tricky as everyone has different tastes and suits different colours. I’ve gone through this year’s festive offerings and selected 3 palettes that I think every make-up wearing woman will love.
URBAN DECAY NAKED ON THE RUN
Urban Decay’s Naked on the Run palette launches nationwide at House of Fraser and all main counters today. Containing everything you need to create a make-up look (minus foundation), it’s been described as an all-in-one Naked Palette. It includes six new neutral eyeshadows, a blusher, bronzer, eyeliner, lipgloss and mascara; the lightest shadow also doubles up as a highlighter. I’ve seen this swatched and the colours look incredible; the eye shadows as pigmented and velvety as ever. This is limited edition and expected to be a sell-out.

LAURA MERCIER ARTIST PORTFOLIO FOR EYES
Laura Mercier’s Artist Palettes sell out every year and 2014’s version is a John Lewis exclusive, with 12 colours in a mix of warm and cool tones, shimmer and matte shades. It comes with a Caviar Stick, the ultimate eye crayon for long-lasting, longwear (I use mine as both liner and allover colour) and a mini mascara. The majority of tones are neutral and very wearable and of all the high end eye shadows I’ve tried to date, Laura Mercier’s formula remains a firm favourite.

CHAROLOTTE TILBURY SUPERMODEL VIDEOBOX
Make-up Artist to the Stars (with a capital S!), Charlotte Tilbury’s own make-up collection has taken the beauty world by storm - and her Supermodel Video Box is the next best thing to having her delivered in person to do our make-up. Containing everything you need to recreate one of her iconic looks, the box lid displays a video of Charlotte applying the make-up, the perfect guide for recreating the look. Any serious make-up lover would melt if they received this and I really do think it’s the absolute ultimate beauty gift *warning, the price could also be described as ‘ultimate’*.

I had originally included Benefit’s Cheeky Sweet Spot blush set in this line-up but removed it as they’ve sold out everywhere online and I’m not sure if there are any left on counters. I’m pretty gutted as I really wanted this one myself and it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for, just incase it comes back in stock!
